Kamloops Airport Ltd. (a wholly owned subsidiary of YVRAS) signed a 45 year lease (with a 20 year renewal option) with the Kamloops Airport Society in 1997 to manage and operate the airport. 

In 2007, the Kamloops Airport Society engaged YVRAS as project manager of an airport expansion including a runway extension and terminal expansion.  In 2009, Kamloops Airport officially opened its extended runway and expanded and renovated terminal. 

In 2009, over 260,000 passengers and 39,800 aircraft passed through the airport.

Located in British Columbia's scenic interior, Kamloops is a city of 85,000 that serves as a transportation hub and regional commercial centre.
